How will this experience help my son or daughter?

Studies show that international education helps students grow in four main areas:

  • Personal development
  • Academics
  • International competencies
  • Career development

Program Information

We hope you will find lots of useful information on the pages of this website, but you may have questions that aren't answered here. Feel free to call or e-mail us with any additional questions or concerns you may have. All students have been given a Handbook which outlines what they can expect from our program. Please ask your student to share that with you. You may want to call and ask for your own copy as well. Or, click here to view and print out the PDF version of the Student Handbook.

Visiting

Parents often ask if they may visit their student while they are studying in Seville. We encourage you to do so! Please remember, however, that students are expected to attend classes even when they have friends or family visiting.

Your student will be able to help you make a reservation at a local hotel that will be convenient to the school and the main attractions of Seville. You can also check out the following websites: Explore Seville or www.sol.com. For sol.com, click on Sevilla and then enter your travel dates and information on the left side of the screen. Remember that in Spanish the day comes first, then the month.

You will find that 2 or 3 star hotels are just fine. The 4 and 5 star hotels have more amenities and are more expensive, of course. You can click on the descriptions to make sure they have private bathrooms and other requirements that are important to you.

Our visitors have stayed in the following hotels and found them to be clean and convenient:

Hotel Monte Carmelo
Hotel Monte Triana
Hotel Passarela
Hotel Alcantara
Hotel Adriana
Hotel Zenit
Hotel NH Plaza de Armas

A member of our Semester In Spain staff owns an apartment/loft in the city center that is available for rent to visiting families. Visit www.sevillaorange.com to check pricing, availability, and to see pictures. The website is in Spanish, so if you have difficulty understanding the information you are welcome to email any questions to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Another option...www.flatstorent.org.  These four flats are offered for weekly or longer rentals and are located in the Santa Cruz district in the city center. They are close to many places of interest.  Send your inquires to rentinseville@gmailcom.

If you are planning to visit in the spring, during Holy Week (SEMANA SANTA) or "The Fair" (FERIA), you should book your lodging well in advance. Hotels and lofts fill up quickly and are also more expensive during these weeks.
